Falls Creek is Victoria’s largest alpine resort and a major tourist destination in North East Victoria. The alpine resort is one of the most popular winter playgrounds in the country and offers a superb range of activities, attractions and events in every season throughout the year.

Falls Creek has great skiing and snowboarding for beginners through to families and the advanced. The resort has the longest beginner run in Australia, in Wombat's Ramble, which has snow making the entire run. however if you want to discover more alpine fun back in the village, then Falls Creek offers it all.

Winter at Falls
The official snow season begins on the Victorian Queen’s Birthday long weekend (7 June 2008) running until the end of September / first weekend in October. The Falls Creek Ski Lifts company operates the lifts, snow making, grooming, etc for the resort while Falls Creek Resort Management coordinate cross country ski terrain and grooming.

Cross Country around Falls
With more than 60km of groomed cross country trails there’s a lot to see across the picturesque Bogong High Plains. You might even catch a glimpse of the Australian National Cross Country Team who call Falls Creek home every winter. We are also the proud hosts of the largest international snowsports event in the southern hemisphere, the Kangaroo Hoppet, which forms part of the prestigious World Loppet race circuit.
